Humlegården is upgrading all of its office properties with Allicon's infrastructure

Humlegården is an active property company with long-term owners in Länsförsäkringsgruppen and office properties in attractive locations in the Stockholm region. Since 2020, Humlegården has been investing in Allicon's infrastructure platform for fiber property networks and preparing for indoor 5G.

In 2019, Humlegården concluded that previous investments in solutions to facilitate tenants' connectivity needs were not cost-effective. Due to a lack of follow-up, management, and documentation, it was not practical to continue with these solutions to meet tenants' increased demands for secure, available, and flexible connectivity infrastructure.

Humlegården also recognized that their efforts to create more sustainable properties posed challenges with indoor mobile coverage, making the need to prepare for future indoor 5G solutions an integrated part of a new solution.

Rollout during the pandemic

In 2020, Humlegården decided to upgrade all its multi-tenant office properties with a new infrastructure platform in the form of fiber property networks provided by Allicon. The rollout was conducted during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which posed significant challenges in terms of access and infection risk. Despite this, the rollout adhered to the schedule, and by the spring of 2021, all properties were equipped with modern and comprehensive fiber infrastructure with capacity for future needs.

Total responsibility for operations

Allicon continues to be responsible for the overall operation of the fiber network and connected services, including tenant service, network management, fault resolution, and expansion of the property network based on Humlegården's needs and guidance. Furthermore, Allicon assists Humlegården with tailored solutions for acquisitions and new developments.


Technical solution

  • Via PropView®, installation of digitally documented and uniform fiber property networks according to Robust Fiber with fiber outlets in all potential rentable spaces.

  • All incoming fiber networks interconnected with the fiber property network for high availability and redundancy.

  • Existing infrastructure in the properties is phased out as tenants migrate to Humlegården's fiber property network.

  • For tenants with unique needs, Humlegården addresses this through Allicon as a customization, which is documented with the rest of the network infrastructure.

  • The entire solution is digitally documented through Allicon's PropView® system, where all changes in the network environment are updated in real-time.

Business model

  • Humlegården provides the fiber network infrastructure as a service to its tenants and charges a fee for its use, which finances the investment and operation of the network.

  • Humlegården engages Allicon as an operating partner for all aspects of the fiber network infrastructure management, with Allicon's compensation being part of Humlegården's tenant revenue for the same.
